Organize and Store Your Favorite Recipes

You know I really want to thank my mother for teaching me all these things. Mama is really an organizer freak! She taught me how to catalogue documents. It started with our personal documents such as birth certificate, school cards, awards, legal letters and other certifications. My siblings and I each own a clearbook where we all keep these very important documents. This way, it made it easy for us to locate a document especially when it is required for whatsoever applications. I keep this organizing scheme in mind so before my kids are born, they already own a clearbook, a portfolio containing ultrasound results, prenatal check up results, hospital certificates. I even taped their hospital wrist badge and umbilical cord there.

I did the same thing with my favorite recipes. We know there are magazines that feature our favorite recipes. As tempted, I rip it out from the magazine until my drawer ends like a garbage collector. Not to mention those that I printed from the internet, handwritten from a friend, and jotted down from a cooking show. They can really accumulate. So I start grouping the recipes together according to main ingredient, pork, beef, poultry, seafood, pasta, fruits and vegetables. Then I just slip them into a clearbook. Clearbooks are readily available in office or educational supply store. Voila, neat and clean.

In this manner, I can always keep my loose recipes protected from food spills. In addition, I also color coded my clearbooks. So everytime, I want to cook something, I can always remember where to locate a certain recipe.
